33 years ago today, my mom took her own life. She was an amazing woman, and a force of nature. My life has been forever shaped not only in an homage to her, but also in the gut-wrenching never-ending ache from the hole she left behind. i realized recently, that in 2 years, I will have lived longer than she did and that is a very lonely and staggering feeling. Please, if you are struggling, please reach out. Call a hotline, tell a family member, message a friend. Please don’t leave a hole that can’t be filled.
